Parent involvement is supported and represented by two groups recognized in the Thames Valley District School Board who fulfill different roles; the School Council and the Home and School Association.

A Home and School Association is an independent parent group that fosters ideals of co-operation and partnership within schools as well as within communities.  Home and School members work with school administrators, teachers, and community leaders to  provide all children the opportunity to succeed in school and beyond.

What is the role of a Home and School Association?

To engage parents, foster communication between the school and the parent community, and to organize events and activities to enrich the whole school community.

A Home and School Association is a member of the Ontario Federation of Home and School Associations, which is a registered charity independent of school boards and an officially recognized provincial parent organization.
